Privacy Policy

1. Information you give us

• The text you submit to create a code, together with the generated 6-digit code and its creation and expiry time.
• If you use our contact form: your name, email address, optional phone number and your message.

2. Information collected automatically

• Your IP address.
• An approximate location (country and city or region) derived from your device's time zone setting.
• How you reached Dinotor: the referring page, the page you first landed on, the traffic source and, where available, search terms from campaign links.
• Usage and device information collected by the analytics services described in section 4.

3. How long messages are available

• A message can be opened with its code for 24 hours. After that, it can no longer be retrieved with the code.
• Records are kept on our servers for security, abuse prevention and statistics. You can ask us to delete a message at any time (see section 8).

4. Analytics, advertising and other services

• Google Analytics: measures page views and how Dinotor is used. It uses cookies or similar identifiers.
• Microsoft Clarity: helps us understand how visitors use our pages (for example clicks, scrolling and session recordings) so we can improve them.
• Google Search Console: provides aggregated data about how Dinotor appears in Google Search. It does not collect information from your device.
• Google AdSense (website only): shows ads and may use cookies to personalise them. You can manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.
• Cloudflare: delivers and protects our website and API, and processes IP addresses for this purpose.
• ipify: used to look up your public IP address when you create a code.

These providers process data under their own privacy policies.

5. The Dinotor iOS app

• Your code history is stored only on your device. You can delete it from the History screen or by deleting the app.
• The camera is used only to scan QR codes. Images are processed on your device and are not stored or sent to us.
• Text you share to Dinotor from other apps is sent to our servers only when you tap "Create Code".
• The app uses the same analytics services as the website.

6. How we use information

• To provide the service: store your message and deliver it to anyone who enters the code.
• To prevent abuse, for example by limiting requests and blocking repeated invalid code attempts.
• To understand how Dinotor is used and to improve it.
• To answer messages sent through the contact form.

We do not sell your personal information.

7. Security

• Connections to Dinotor are encrypted (HTTPS).
• Anyone who has a code can read its message. Do not use Dinotor for passwords or other highly sensitive information, and share codes only with people you trust.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU or KVKK in Türkiye), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to object to its processing. To make a request, contact us through the contact form and include the code of the message if your request is about one.

9. Children

Dinotor is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
